In pursuit of perfect practice.
...........................
There are a lot of yoga mats out there (we know because we tested 'em). There's only one Manduka PRO.
For Easyday's 24-25 Yoga Capsule, we're pumped to bring you the #1 yogi-endorsed mat in the world in our five all-time favorite Limited Edition colorways. C'mon.
The dominance is in the details 🧘♀️
Ample cushioning, luxury touch, OEKO-TEX 100 Certified materials (the OG standard for consumer safety...basically tested for a baby to sleep on), and transparently manufactured in an emissions free factory in Germany. Oh, and warrantied by Manduka for life. Some GOATs are at the top for a reason.
Whether you're a verifiable yoga nut looking for the highest performance tool money can buy, new to the game and in need of an incentive to double down, or are like us and just want to make a one-time purchase of a quality product that will hold up to a lifetime of ROM work, cross-training, and the occasional drop-in hot flow class while giving you peace of mind re. where it's been and what it's made outta...our recommendation is to dodge the targeted IG ads of some of the faddier imposters out there (e.g., quick comparison: Lululemon's top-of-the-line "The Mat" is 16% thinner, made in mystery factories across China and Sri Lanka, comes with no durability guarantee, and contains latex which isn't the best substance to smush your face on every day) and beeline straight to one of these bad boys. It's a savvy investment that will pay you back over thousands of sessions to come and dole you more studio cred than you can handle in the meantime.
In their words...
Guaranteed for a lifetime of practice, the PRO features ultra-dense cushioning and supportive grip that, like your favorite jeans, just gets better with time. A no-slip dot pattern on the bottom layer keeps the mat in place, while the closed-cell construction keeps it clean through your sweatiest sessions. OEKO-TEX® certified, the PRO is mindfully made for mindful movers.
#1 Teacher Recommended Mat in the World
The PRO is Manduka's top-of-the-line mat, currently carrying the torch on the company's nearly 30-year reputation for innovation and quality. Its ultra-dense 6mm cushioning will adapt to your body over time, supplying awesome levels of responsiveness, joint protection, and comfort. It's a global market leader for a reason and provides the most consistently great practice experience we've ever had.
Textured Top Layer
The PROs feature a textured top layer in a unique, tight cross-hatch pattern to achieve the long-lasting grippiness and supportive ride that puts them in a league of their own on deep holds. We have no idea why all the other brands on the market don't adopt this, but they haven't yet (Vuori, Lulu, and Alo all have smooth mats...read, "slippery when wet"). It seems like a small difference, but deep into our testing we've come to appreciate this feature enough that we'd make Manduka our #1 for the texture alone.
Trademark Dots
The PRO's materials quality and innovation extends to the parts you don't see, with a signature sticky dot pattern on the bottom that Manduka claims is proprietary. FWIW, we ran a US utility patent search to confirm that claim and didn't find one (could be pending; Manduka as a company has several others), but it's still dope. It keeps you from slipping and clearly differentiates up vs. down, which let's be honest is like 90% of the battle (in life).
Built for a Lifetime of Flow
The PRO Series is Manduka's top-of-the-line offering, and as such is the only product line that the company unequivocally warrantees for life. And because Easyday is an authorized Manduka retailer (beware those who aren't) and only deals in PROs, this applies to you(!!). If you encounter any peeling, fading, flexing, or compressing over the normal course of use with your mat ever -- like, forever ever -- Manduka will allow you to exchange it for a new one. How's that for peace of mind.

Use & Care
To Store: Roll Manduka PRO mats with the top facing outwards. This keeps the corners of the mat flat when practicing.
To Break In: The grip of the Manduka PRO mat improves with use (oh yeah). The best way to break in your mat is to just get tf after it and practice daily. If you find yourself slipping initially, you can always layer on one of Manduka's performance yoga towels to add traction. Lightly spray the towel with water to increase the grip.
For extra credit, we recommend sprinkling coarse sea salt across your mat then letting it sit for 24 hours. After that, spray with water, scrub the salt with a towel, and wipe clean. Leave the mat to dry. Then give it a ride.
To Clean: To keep your mat clean, Manduka recommends using its own "Yoga Mat Wash & Refresh" product. We tend to use whatever we have laying around, but would always encourage you to hunt for non-toxic / human-grade options on this front (including but not limited to Manduka's) because whatever you use at the end of this session you're going to end up rolling around in for the entirety of the next one.
About the Brand
Manduka was founded in 1997 by Peter Sterios, an architect turned yogi whose first product was a simple, elegant black mat that revolutionized his own yoga practice with its combination of firm grip and complete support. Soon he started sharing it.
To thank them for inspiring his own journey, Peter sent versions of his early mat to other yoga instructors including Erich Schiffmann, Rod Stryker, Angela Farmer, Victor Van Kooten, Rodney Yee, and Shiva Rea. These were his first customers. And, when they in turn shared the new mats with their students, a business was born.
Peter called his growing business Manduka in homage to his teacher and mentor, Shandor Remete, whose core practice and teaching always included the ancient Hatha Yoga Pradipika pose, Mandukasana (or "frog"). The first time Peter practiced it he was struck by how the word and pose were mirror images, simultaneously catchy, childlike, playful and profound. The joy of Manduka is now spoken in countries all over the world.
The quality and performance of Manduka mats and yoga accessories are still unmatched in the marketplace. They are still crafted using simple, enduring, natural, and whenever possible, renewable materials and a fine attention to detail. Manduka's heritage and mission is to be a company by and for yoga teachers and their students: constantly evolving, improving, and celebrating the spirit and wisdom of the discipline. Practice on 🖤
