Handcrafted in Salt Lake City.

..............................

At its core, Easyday was founded as our own little Amazonification Resistance Movement on the idea that there's a real return on investment (in financial, human, environmental, psychosocial, and other terms) to be had over the course of your life by simply consuming fewer, better things.

Instead of buying 4x 6-piece drinkware sets at a chain retailer because they're on clearance, buy four incredible quality mugs that have an origin story, support an artisan, will last you a decade, and that you're downright hopped up on hype to drink out of each morning. Hell, buy one mug. Buy this mug.

Elevate the Everyday ☕️

Nowhere is our design philosophy -- of adding small details for you to discover over time, trading quantity for quality, and promoting good things consumed slowly -- more alive than in collabs like this first edition Millcreek 1-50 one between Easyday x LE Ceramics.

Designed, thrown, glazed, engraved, and fired end-to-end...by hand...by a single artist in Salt Lake City, these puppies are the Platonic Ideal of a coffee mug if we've ever seen one.

Made in (and of) the Mountains 🏔️

Shaped from reddish-brown dirt clay, each Millcreek 1-50 is a tank of a vessel that feels like it was chipped straight out of Millcreek Canyon here in Salt Lake. The exposed clay shows up as a deep, textured sand color post-firing...and looks so hard against the clean double coat of matte black glaze.

Intention in the Smallest Details 🫶🏼

Sizing is oversized, holding 16+ oz. of whatever you pour. Dimensions are ~4.3" high x ~3.7" in diameter, which is our all-time Goldilocks configuration because it's a thick mug (none of that 12 oz. sissy ish) that remains palmable and fits the clearance of the typical espresso machine or coffee maker.

Because they're truly handmade, no two Millcreek Mugs are exactly alike. Which means the one you receive will be truly yours. Unique and special just like you 🤗

Oh, and we're only releasing 50 of them. With the unit number (1-50) hand-engraved on the bottom. How's that for quality > quantity.

TRUST THE PROCESS

Designed by hand, exclusively for Easyday x LEC

For this first edition collection, we began by drafting designs by hand in collaboration with LE Ceramics. Our priority was to feature the natural, exposed ceramic of the cup -- a trademark of LE's popular 'Two-Tone Mugs' -- alongside Easyday's trademark 3-bolt logo. The goal (as always) was simplicity, beauty, functionality, enough classiness to be at home anywhere and enough character to not be boring.

In the spirit of the Stones, we saw a red clay mug and wanted it painted black. And in the spirit of dopeness, we saw black glaze and wanted it matted out 🔥

TRUST THE PROCESS

Thrown, shaped, and glazed - also by hand - by a single artisan

Starting with a wet piece of clay, each mug is hand thrown, shaped, and engraved, one at a time. Once dry, they're taped out with our 3-bolt design and the bottom bands where the clay will remain exposed, then hand painted with a double layer of matte black glaze (which dries as grey prior to firing). However time intensive you're picturing this process to be, it's probably more.

Once formed and painted, the mugs are fired in batches of 10 to 20 for 8 to 12 hours at 2000+ degrees Fahrenheit in order to bond the glaze to the clay and create durability. The finished pieces are then polished and packed by hand. Easyday.

TRUST THE PROCESS

Individually engraved and numbered 1-50

I think we mentioned this, but we thought our debut collection with LEC should be special so we're only releasing 50 of these things in the First Edition. Five zero. So don't sleep.

Each Millcreek Mug features a stamped emblem on the bottom that shows Easyday's logo surrounded by "HANDMADE BY LE CERAMICS IN SALT LAKE CITY". Below this, the First Edition ones are all individually engraved with a number authenticating the order in which they were made, 1 through 50.

About the Artist

LE Ceramics is the studio of Lisa Emery, based in the Millcreek neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah.

An SLC native, Lisa spent over a decade working in retail curation and visual environments for larger brands on the West Coast before returning to Utah to launch her studio. Her focus is crafting extremely high quality, long-lasting premium pottery and jewelry by hand, incorporating intentionally sourced materials and simple, beautiful designs.

Every LE Ceramics piece is made by Lisa personally, from beginning to end. We first discovered her through her 'Yin Yang' mug collection (iconic), which became one of the main inspirations for our Millcreek 1-50 collaboration.
